About DutyFreeDeck
"How much can I bring in?" sounds simple, but the answer lives deep inside customs websites — a PDF here, FAQ entry 7105 there, sometimes with the Chinese and English versions disagreeing. What you actually need before a flight is one number: how many cigarettes, how many litres, how much cash. DutyFreeDeck exists for that number.
What we do
DutyFreeDeck summarises entry allowances and cash-declaration rules for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, the UK and the EU/Schengen area, covering the three things travellers actually look up: tobacco and alcohol limits, general goods allowances, and cash declaration thresholds — plus what happens when you're over.
Our method: every number has an official source
- Every figure is checked against the official customs authority's website before publication, and each page carries a "Data verified as of" date.
- Every guide links to the official sources so you can re-check them — we want to be verified, not believed.
- Where official sources disagree or are silent, we say so and tell you to ask the customs authority — we never guess.
- When rules change, we re-verify and update the page and its date.
What we don't do
- We are not an official website — no affiliation with any customs authority; the official publication always prevails.
- No individual casework — "will I be fined in my situation" is a question for customs, not for us.
- No legal or tax advice — this site is a summary of published rules.
Business model and independence
DutyFreeDeck is funded by ads (Google AdSense, activated after approval) and affiliate links (travel eSIM, travel insurance and similar). Affiliate links are always marked; a commission may be earned at no extra cost to you — and it can't buy you a different allowance number, because the numbers come from customs authorities, not merchants. See the disclaimer and disclosure.
